Privacy and learner information

People using Sigma Caribbean may share account information, enrolment details, learning responses, assessment results, attendance and support requests. This page explains how to use these records responsibly and where additional privacy documentation is still needed.

What Sigma records for learning

Learning accounts and academic services may record registration and enrolment details, diagnostic and lesson responses, marks, attendance, parent–learner links, service bookings and notifications. Information about learning accommodations and support plans may be particularly sensitive and should be accessible only to authorised personnel who need it for their role.

Students and families

Students should avoid sharing passwords or unnecessary personal information in lesson responses, AI chat or support requests. Parents and guardians should use their own accounts and authorised learner links rather than asking students to share passwords.

Some educational support services require a separate parent or guardian consent decision. Completing student orientation or acknowledging account linking is not itself parental consent for all services.

Access, accuracy and assistance

If your account shows an incorrect learner, grade, attendance record or assessment result, contact Sigma through the appropriate signed-in support channel. Requests involving access to records, correction or account closure should be reviewed by an authorised administrator after identity and parental-authority checks where appropriate.
